Usually I write my posts in the lounge of the gym I work out at – Holmes Place. After the workout and the steam I like to cool down in the lounge, expand the content of my blog and drink a home made healthy drink consisting of low fat curd cheese (great source of proteins), honey, almond milk, nuts and different fruits. Today I am writing this post while sitting in a comfy brown leather sofa in the lobby of one of the biggest co-working companies worldwide – WeWork.
So what is co-working?!
Imagine the exact opposite of a huge office building that is all grey filled with unmotivated slave-like workers maximizing the bank account of the guy whose name is on the building.
Co-working spaces usually are designed by prominent architects and interior designers. The spaces look rather like modern cafés where young enthusiastic entrepreneurs get together, rent offices and pursue their dreams. That way you meet people from different startups or even bigger companies. The co-working companies make it very affordable to have an office in the hearts of major cities in the world. The membership starts at 250€/month for a hot desk which means you do not have a particular office but a place at a desk that you share with other newcomers. It is great for one-man companies or bloggers. If you need a constant place/office to work, you can rent an office for two for 950€/month. And the membership is terminable monthly! So no longterm renting contracts any more!
Especially for someone like me who travels a lot (this year so far I went to 13 places within Europe, Asia and Africa) co-working companies offer a place to work and to meet insiders of the particular cities. With one membership you get access to all WeWork offices worldwide!
Oh yeah, coffee is for free as well 😉
Cheers
Max
